Public Aid Organization worked closely with the Directorate of Combating Violence Against Women and Family to conduct a meeting with a number of Local NGOs in Erbil for greater cooperation and constant collective action between the Directorate of Combating Violence Against Women and Family and the NGOs. Speaking at the start of the meeting, Mr. Sfen Taher Mohammed Ameen indicated the role of the his directorate in reducing violence and emphasized on importance of collective action and coordination among NGOs. Then the head of the Public Aid Organization/PAO ,Mr. Hoger indicated importance of making more efforts and to increase coordination among the directorate and the stakeholders and partners. To pay attention the to role of the Section of Awareness, Studies and Research at the Family Counselling Centre , Mr. P. Anwar the head of this section provided brief on work mechanisms of the section , main tasks , structure, the hotline 119 the radio of “equality voice”, and the mobile committee of peace that works at the camps. At the end space was given to ask questions and providing further details for people who asked different questions. Attendees agreed on plans and required action for the next phase, in addition to visiting the hotline and the radio of equality voice.
